Runaway Train
This movie stars Jon Voight and Eric Roberts as
escaped convicts who during their escape board a, you
guessed it, runaway train in the Alaskan wilderness.
Based on a screenplay by Akira Kurosawa, this is a
classic action tale. Action not based on explosions
and guns but action as a means of studying human
character.
Jon Voigt and Eric Roberts were both nominated for
Academy Awards and Golden Globes for this movie.
The highlights include a remarkable monologue by Jon
Voight that ranks as one of the finest scenes you'll
ever see. Also, the ending is one of the best you'll
ever find, brilliant and anti-Hollywood.
