Breaker Morant
This is an Australian movie that can be described as a
wartime courtroom drama. It stars Edward Woodward and
Bryan Brown as Australian Lieutenants during the Boer
War in South Africa, who are court martialed and
accused of shooting prisoners of war.
The story of their crime is told in retrospective form. They claim they were following orders, but are being used as scapegoats by the General Staff. I won't give away the ending, but rest assured it has one of the finest ending lines ever.
This movie is based on true story and is wonderfully
filmed. This movie follows in a long line of great
Australian war movies such as Gallipoli and Vietnam.
