Romeo is Bleeding
Not to be confused with the recently released Romeo
Must Die, this is a movie starring Gary Oldman as a
crooked cop whose perfect plan is going well until it starts to go wrong.
He has an association with a crime boss, played by Roy
Scheider, to tip him of to the locations of witnesses who are set to testify against Scheider.
Things start to go wrong when a beautiful Russian
assasin, Lena Olin, manages to escape before
Scheider's men can kill her.
This movie is almost textbook film noir, without the
black and white. It also happens to contain the best
ass shot in the history of cinema, Lena Olin's. I
know that most of you probably missed that TNT special
on great ass shots thru movie history.
This movie also co-stars Juliette Lewis and Annabella Scioria as Oldman's mistress and wife. It was written by Hilary Henkin, whose varied writing credits include Wag the Dog, Roadhouse and Fatal Beauty. I don't know if you could get more varied than that list.
