Hooper
This week I decided to give ya'll a movie that is one
of my favorite guilty pleasure movies. It is a Burt Reynolds movie
that just seems to have gotten lost in the ether
somewhere.....
Burt plays the title character, a stuntman who's
getting towards the end of his career and gets pushed
by a young hotshot, Jan Michael Vincent (pre-head
trauma). Sally Field plays his girlfriend.
Its basically the story of a once great stuntman's
last hurrah in the movie industry. It's not much of a
movie in character study, but it does have some good
action and interesting supporting players.
I've always had a soft spot for those movies that came
out in the late '70s and were shown on Showtime
repeatedly because they didn't have anything else to
show.
