Hostage
This is a spy drama starring Sam Neill and Talisa
Soto. This movie will not rate as high as my other
movies but is an interesting counterpoint to the usual
spy movie.
Where James Bond movies show the flair and style of
spies, this movie shows their dark side. Where the
Tom Clancy movies show the high tech side of
espionage, this shows the blood and guts side.
The basic plot of the movie is Sam Neill goes to South
America to rescue a kidnapped British official. As he
does, he begins to question not only his methods of
getting the job done but the methods of his superiors.
